Description

[COUGHS] ALRIGHT HEY i got a lot... to go through uhm

Brief Summary:
Carmen meets Andy and immediately attempts to befriend him. It works out okay, at first. Until she sees the mutt that killed Ryan and Andy turns on her.
Alexine makes an appearance, and in the brief confusion, Carmen pushes Andy into the mutt's sights. The mutt tears him apart.
Carmen and Alexine share small talk, and Carmen stubbornly stays with Andy until he passes.
The girls walk and walk and walk.
Cue earthquake, and Alexine falls. Carmen holds her hand and attempts over and over to save her until she passes out from exhaustion.
She has a dream.
And, of course, she wakes up.

Uhhh some notes:

-I love... Andy and Alexine... and I hope I did them justice!!!! It was fun working with you two. I love u
-I think I interpreted the whole... "hell" thing as like! More messing with their heads before bringing the hammer down to a big event. I hope my interpretation was okay! (I know it couldn't have been too exciting, but I think I'm satisfied... haha....)
-I wanted to do a comic but :") wrist complications prevented me from finishing anything super big. I'm not sure what else to say haha ;;

Finally, I can comment on your entry.
First of all: you did an amazing job!
Your drawings are on spot and just as lively and expressive as I know them. Also, Alexine looks so cute drawn by you <3
I was awed by the final picture which also concluded the story. Just wow!
I really like that you included elements from other rounds and entries from other contestants, like the donuts and the wounded hellhound from your previous entry.
Including and describing how Ada feels about her tribute is a nice touch, also her interaction with Sundeep. Very in character! All in all the interactions of Carmen with Andy and later Alexine are well written; that Carmen doesn't understand why Alexine refuses to watch the pictures of the dead makes sense. Everyone is showing respect and sadness in their own way. Their last moments together are heartbreaking. That Carmen was visited by her mother in her dreams might help her but I'm afraid it will take her a long time to process everything.
Your description of Carmen's apathy as well as the numbness in her shoulder due to the knife were very realistic, I can tell. And I like her short hair, it really suits her. Also, it was nice to notice how your title "Heartbeat" reappeared in the story from time to time.
It's amazing what you were able to do especially with your wrist problems!
